I get that he was HUGE in the 1930s and 40s, and of course we're yearly beaten over the head with "White Christmas.'  He could be sorta kinda charming, and he could carry a tune, but there are plenty of people who were huge during those years -- and beyond -- who had more to offer than Bing Crosby.  At least that's my opinion.
