I discovered this when my hubs was watching football on Thanksgiving a few years ago.
Me no watch football no never.
I was in the kitchen, and I hear this REALLY cool song someone's singing during the halftime show.
That was today's TSOTW:
Today's star is Diana Lynn for Strutwear...
More marvelous marvels for this very nice day, which is the first very nice day after several days of a scary-ish Nor'easter.

First up, we have History's Coolest Music-Theme Brooch:
=====================================================================
Let's go to Hawaii !!
Now here's something VERY unique and special, to wit...
Me love frogs and turtles.
Two brief frog stories from my life:
I used to have two wicker herons on my porch. There was a recessed thingie on their backs, where you could put a planter.
On day I was out on the porch, and I noticed in one of the planters was this tiny - like 1" or so tiny - frog.
The planter was about three feet from the ground, so I had zero idea how this tiny frog managed to get in there.
My other frog story is not much of a story, although I remember it fondly.
In Stokes State Park, up in Sussex County, NJ, there's a spot where there are two taps out of which comes spring water.
FREE spring water.
I have a case at an antiques co-op in Branchville (Ole Church Antiques. Mine is the case that faces the door. MUST SEE. Plus I have one in the basement of the shop. MUST FIND.)
Anyway, after I go there, and put stuff in my cases, and collect my sales $$$$$, I go to Stokes to get water.
One day I was filling up my bottles (my bottles are used 48 ounce glass kombucha bottles, not those ginormous plastic thingies. Glass is waaaayyyyy healthier than plastic.),
While I was doing my thing, out from the rocks comes hopping a very attractive, very green frog.
=======================================================================
Could double as a planter !!.

Thus ends today's collection.
More next week !!!
Found, I'm pretty sure, on one of those photography contests.
BTW, you haven't lived until you've heard swans in flight.
A couple years ago, the hubs, and I were riding our bikes around Lake Lily, which is in Cape May Point, NJ. They're are usually a swan or three in that lake. When they rise to fly the sound of their wings flapping is a VERY memorable sound.
I heard this wild song last week when I was in the car, and radio surfing.
Enjoy.
Turns out the total is...
*************** 159 ***************
That's one hundred and fifty-nine advertising ashtrays, bought over a period of... well I don't know exactly, but really - how cool is it to have that many???
Extremely so, I'd say..
Here's my latest vintage advertising ashtray:
Bavarian Premium Beer
Mount Carbon Brewery - Pottsville, PA
Mount Carbon Brewery ran from 1941 until 1977. Yuengling bought the rights to the name and label, but retired it a few years later.
Just one this time,
Although I found another one, but it grew legs, and now it's hiding from me.
So...
Not a whole lot of info about this place on the 'net. Mainly just that it morphed into Acorn Market, which closed in 2020.
The squirrel is kinda cute.
Since our last haul of antiques and untiques, I've found TONS of maaaahvelous merchandise. Which I haven't actually gotten to, but which will appear in my Etsy shop soon.
Anyway, what you came here for today:
a totally FANTASTIC item for the unicorn collector

Next up, History's Cutest Bunny Cookie Jar !!
Thus ends today's collection.
More coming !!!
