The Star Made Me Buy It

Don Wilson for Tums
Don's mostly forgotten today, but as late as the 1980s, the average person knew who Don Wilson was.

He main gig was as an announcer.  His other claim to fame was working as one of Jack Benny's foils on the old The Jack Benny Program.

Personally, I remember him best for a series of commercials he did in the 1970s for a product that enabled you to affix beautiful artificial snowflakes to your windows.  They ran these commercials around Christmastime for years.

Alas, can't find one on YouTube.

But I did find this:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jg4RE2hVw1Q
