Boy George is in the house !!
Time (Clock of the Heart)I'm wondering if adding 'Clock of the Heart' to the song title is there to differentiate this song from the Alan Parsons Project song entitled 'Time.'

Today's TSMMBI has somebody we haven't had before:
Anne Baxter for Chesterfield cigarettesI remember her mainly from The Ten Commandments, and little bits here, and little bits there, including playing Marcus Welby's lady friend. .The movie mentioned in the above ad is something called You're My Everything, came out in 1949.
I know she's mainly known for All About Eve, which is the talkiest movie I've ever seen.
Nevertheless, she was sorta appealing. Maybe sometime TCM will have her during the August 'Summer Under the Stars' dealie.
True fact: She was Frank Lloyd's Wright's granddaughter. Speaking of whom, he appeared as the mystery guest on a What's My Line episode in 1956. He came off as SUPER arrogant.
You can find it on YouTube.
So sorry we haven't have a TSOTW for awhile.
It's been a very weird couple of months, which I'll explain (probably) in an upcoming post.
On to what you came for:
something SUPER clever
I never put political stuff on this blog.
Too boring.
But this really burns my fuzz.
28%.
That's bad enough, but voting is scheduled for September 17, and only for the hours from 2-8 pm.
Obviously they're hoping nobody comes out for this, or they'd have scheduled it for normal election/voting day, i.e. Tuesday, November 5. When the polls are open from 7:00 am-8:00 pm.
There are a lot of seniors in this township, and lots of folks are on fixed incomes. This will be a disaster for them.
Not exactly a disaster for me, but we're living close to the bone, and I don't relish my taxes going up by hundreds of dollars a month.
I'm praying that EVERYBODY who's a registered voter in Dennis Township comes out for this.
UPDATE: The money grab failed; 88.8% of the votes were a 'No thanks, we're good, no need to scam us into paying 28% more property tax.'
What I will never understand is that 12% of the votes were 'Yes, I'd love to pay more in property taxes.' My hubs opined that those votes came from the school board and their cronies.
Sorta makes sense, I guess, but according to Wikipedia, there are a teeny bit more than 6000 people in Dennis Township, and probably not more than 100 of them - if that - have anything to do with the schools, since there only two schools in the township. An elementary school, and a middle school.. Student totals in 2020-21, a mere 604 kids.
