Yesterday on my travels I found a whole bag of 1940's and '50s roller rink labels/decals/whatever you all 'ems.
Roller
skating, which was born in the late 19th century, became more popular
than ever in the period just after WWII. The labels served both as
advertising and a neato way to decorate the case you carried your skates
in.
The bag, which I bought for a piddling $20, has at least 200 decals.
