Newest addition to my advertising ashtray collection...

While I'm digging through the mess in my house, I occasionally dig up an ashtray I totally forgot I had.

Which is the case with this one:

                                             VFW  S. I. Lambert Post 3020
                                                           Riverside, NJ

I looked this up, and found zilch.

Then I found the post, which is now entitled the 'Lambert-Scully-Bozarth Post.'  It also has the same post number, i.e. VFW Post 3020.

Sometimes I google "advertising ashtray collection," just to find out if I'm not the only person on planet Earth who has a collection of these.

One of the things that popped up was this:

                                                 Collectors Guide to Ashtrays

From the title I'm guessing this is a REALLY neat book.  In my 30+ years as an antiques dealer, I have found numerous SUPER cool ashtrays, other than the ones I collect.

You - and I - can get the above book at ThriftBooks.com.
