The Tuesday Song of the Week

I'm so thrilled to have found today's TSOTW.

I'd hear this song in different places - most recently at the beach body boot camp held next to where I play pickleball - but until this week, I've never been able to find out what it's called.

I remember it mostly by the chorus: 'Say (garblegarblegarble)! Say (garblegarblegarble)!'

I thought maybe it was 'Say tomorrow!' but when I looked that up I got bupkis.

Then a few nights ago, I was somewhere where the song was being piped out, and I stood under the sound system dealie, and listened as hard as I could.

Finally I figured it out. found the lyrics, and the song title.

 And here it is:

                                                       'Geronimo' - Sheppard

The Star Made Me Buy It

 Today's star is...

well, it's hard to say he's actually a star, in that a) I'm sure 99.999% of the population does not remember him, and b) his heyday was just three years in the 1940s.

And if you type his name on Google, you get a bunch of other guys with the same name.

His claim to fame: he was the U.S Tennis singles champion in 1944 and 1945, and doubles champion - along with Pancho Gonzales - in 1949.  And he was a Davis Cup team player, but I'm not exactly clear what that means.

Anyway,

Bag o' the Day

I really must post these more often.

Since my shop has HUNDREDS of them.

And they're all VERY cool.

Mug of the Month

One of the great things about summer -- at least where I live - are the plethora of farm stands, where one can buy watermelon, corn, tomatoes, etc. etc. etc. that were picked the very morning you stopped in.

This month, we honor produce: beans, tomatoes and corn.

So fun for a summer decor!

The Tuesday Song of the Week

Yet another reason why the music of the early 1980s was the best in history.

                                                       'Heaven' - The Psychedelic Furs

The Tuesday Song of the Week

I first heard this song being piped out from a now-defunct ice cream stand (River Chic's in Folsom, NJ).

'Budapest' - George Ezra

July's awesome ties! Retro ties!!! Vintage ties !!!!

We're now at the end of our Roy G. Biv series of ties.

And I'm doing just the V in Biv.  As you may recall, Biv stands for 'blue - indigo - violet'

Well, we did blue/indigo already, so today we got violet.

Or purple.

 Same difference.

Wanna see?

This is, I believe, one of the very very coolest ties in my shop
