your Daily Double aka GET THIS!!!! GET THIS!!!!

Today will be yet another quadruple, because yesterday turned out to be VERY busy, with one awesome development and one that made me LIVID.

The awesome one: Well, I had to get my car's oil changed, and the place where I get that done was closed for some weird reason.  And I pretty much failed to find another place to get it done.  However, during this fruitless task, I stopped in at this huge thrift store where I almost never find anything (so why did I stop in?  I dunno).  Anyhoo, I found...

a bunch of Vested Gentress skirts, including one with original tags, an AWESOME 1970s Gunne Sax dress, plus a bunch more amazingness, that totaled $50 or so.

So great, right?

However, then I get home, and...

A letter from USPS.

Let me set up the clip:

Back in February, I sold two pieces of Johnson Bros. Eastbourne to a nice lady in West Virginia, and mailed it around February 20, using USPS Priority 3-Day shipping.  As in, she should have had it within 3 days.

But she alerted me earlier this month that it had never shown up.  And the tracking number turned out to have shown that the package did make it to my post office.  (Duh.  I was there when it happened.)  But no further info was available.

I went to my post office, and one of the clerks gave me the phone number for the local USPS customer service office.  So I call them, and a nice polite guy calls me back.  I give him all the info I have, including the tracking number, which I request he read back to me, just to make sure he got it.  At the end of the call he said that the would be done with the search by March 17, and do I want to get the results by email, phone or letter.  I said letter.

And what did the letter say?

OK, so onto your Quadruple...

your Daily Double or GET THIS!!!!

Today's daily double will actually be a quadruple, since I just didn't get to it yesterday.

Anyhoo,
Lightness vs. Toughness

You'd figure Toughness would mop the floor with Lightness, but...
this graphics came from a booze ad, and booze-wise, Lightness trumps Toughness

This the image appears on lotsa stuff.  Go here: www.zazzle.com/the_olden_eye?rf=238225004668148127 and enter 'lightness'  Or 'toughness'

And so...

When one is too young to borrow Dad's car, Rover will often do just as well.
On a wealth of must-have stuff like t-shirts, mugs, cards (playing and other kinds), etc. etc. etc.  Go to: www.zazzle.com/the_olden_eye?rf=238225004668148127  and in the 'search this store' box, enter 'cart.'

This was the playbill cover image for the 1927 Broadway production of Dracula, starring the great Bela Lugosi.  Note this was the stage version, not the movie.

Smokey is in the house!

'More Love' - Smokey Robinson & the Miracles

on a beautiful bride and a (not handsome, but not so ugly that he scares small children) groom.

What did I mean by 'reflecting' ?

Just this:
These double as mirrors!!!

Mediterranean

 MASK!

Like, for a wall.
Neat, huh?
