Here comes the... ewwww

I really really really really really wanna be a size 6 for the wedding.  Honest I do.  I thought I'd be halfway there by now, but I am exactly,  give or take a few ounces, the same weight I was when I got engaged.  And the wedding is less than 5 months away.  

It's now crunch time and I have decided to bore you with updates on my weight loss or lack thereof.   As I type this I'm 154.  At 5'8", I'm not a house, but there needs to be a lot less of me.

Cupids!  Itty bitty little paper cupids from the 1920's!! Descending on me like flying monkeys only more so!!

Folks, here's the real story:  in the early-to-mid '90s I did a cleanout of a house where nothing (clothing, cards and paper items, TV guides, toys, you name it) had been discarded since around 1910 including, but not limited to, these cute little cupids.  

Last week's cuckoo bananas find:

BRIGHT and SPARKLY cherry red roller skates!!

Either a relic of roller disco or maybe roller derby.

Intern update

Ms. Ivy Spivington has taken up knitting on her lunch break.  Now, I do applaud someone doing something on their break other than sitting in the break room, and gossiping about the rest of the staff.  Problem with Ms. Ivy is that she gets a little too caught up in her knitting.  

And when I call her back to work, she gets so flustered and confused, and then the yarn goes everywhere and... well, I think the picture tells the story.
